Following the Palestinian civil society call for BDS we have had the opportunity to take a stand against Israel's criminal policies and support the international campaign, which includes divestment from companies that are complicit in such policies and profit from them. Insisting on socially responsible investments in this region is a crucial step in bringing about peace and justice to the people living in Israel/Palestine.

We also have great respect for your stance on Canadian indigenous issues and recognition of Canada's colonial past. We would like to ask you to express solidarity with a similar important campaign for the rights of another indigenous people, the Palestinian people living under Israel's apartheid and Palestinian refugees around the world.
